May God's spirit come at Christmas
To fall upon the earth,
As we call on Christ the Savior
In remembrance of His birth.

In a world that's drifted far from God,
Filled with hate and greed.
May the Spirit redirect us
To meet desperate spiritual need.

Let us look beneath the tinsel.
Probe beyond the twinkling lights,
Grasp the blessed truth of Jesus
Brought to earth one holy night.

May the love of God embrace each one
Who calls upon His name
And fill our hearts with hope and peace
For which the Savior came.
